Though not after time Shez Sinsational looked just that when working on Thursday, will be a logical favourite for the Thorndon although the International at Te Rapa next month is her number one goal. Another who worked well was Glaizem, luckless last start, he is a good each way bet on Saturday.

Track Update - 18/01

Shez Sinsational worked very well when running the last 600m in 37.9, she has done that well since her group 1 victory, that trainer Allan Sharrock has changed plans and she will contest the mile at Trentham on Saturday. Lumiere Blue ran 39.9 for his last 600m and possesses more ability than his 1st start performance. He will run on Thursday on his home track and is an each way chance.

All In Tempo worked superbly running the last 600m in a tick under 38s. He is ready to win at short notice. Time honours on the morning went to Nippin, 36.7, with blinkers on Saturday Nippin is a sound each way bet.

Subriachi looks improved judging by his first run.  He ran the last 600m in 35.1, due a win in short notice.  Belles Fast was only a little slower, 35.2, another waiting for improved track conditions.

Confrontational looks ready to strike form judging by his work on Tuesday, running the last 600m in 39.2.   The good form of the Warren Bolton Stable may continue with Duke of York running 600m in 39.3.

Judging by their work on Tuesday the Allan Sharrock trio Shez Sinsational, I Do and Subriachi, will all be extremely competitive on Saturday.  Each ran 38 or 38.1 for their last 600m in outstanding trackwork.

Of the locals preparing for Saturday, none impressed more than Themoneyzmine who ran the quickest last 600m in 40.1, is improving and worth following.

Blakmandu worked very well running 600m on the course proper in 40.6. An each way chance at good odds this weekend. Good gallopers Keyora and Athenry ran the quickest 600m on the sand (37.7), they will be worth following when they resume racing.

Confrontional may be an outside chance on Sunday, judging by his trackwork, he ran in company with good galloper Suribachi, 600m in 36.9. Jacksun will be hard to beat again running in the Irish colours on Sunday, he ran 600m in 37.7 very easily.

Blakmandu worked very well running his last 600m on the outside of the course proper in 40.3. He performs best on loose tracks, if he gets suitable track conditions on Saturday he will be a good chance.  Judging by his work Mr Alibi can be a big improver for Bryce Revell on Saturday, he ran home the last 600m in 41.2, working very strongly.

Yeshi Shinko will be a big chance on Saturday, judging by her work this week, she ran the last 600m on the sand in 36.4. Though not after time Stormin Norman worked strongly and will be hard to beat at Hawera on Sunday.

Track Update - 20/07

Busy gallop morning with many good chances at the local meeting Saturday. Stormin Norman ran 600m in 40.4, he will be hard to beat as will I Am Sam who took 40.7.  A roughie who looked good was Sunny Sunday who worked very strongly.

With atrocious weather the course proper was closed.  Most horses weren't after time on the sand track.  Whilst not at the track the Wheeler jumpers for Trentham on Saturday are the best prospects from the track with Mali Jurah very hard to beat in the steeples.

I Am Sam again impressed when running 600m in 43.3. While he will be a bit fresh for Saturday he will be competitive. Stablemate Polly Petite could be a big improver judging by her trackwork ,600m in 44.2. On the sand its Forfree, 37.2 looked improved.

The RB Patterson pair of Baltis and ghia will be very competitive on Thursday judging by their work on Tuesday (the last 600m in 41.5 and 40.1 respectively).  Another good chance is Go Thunder with blinkers on, he ran 600m in 41.7 and did it easily.

Iam Sam and Blakmandu worked very well running the last 600m in 40.8 on a very heavy track, both will be hard to beat at Trentham on Saturday.

Both Ofeelya and The Storming Home Of Tracey Bliss worked very well on a heavy track this week, when running the last 600m in a tick over 41s, both are sound chances when they race next.

Shez Sinsational continues to please.  She ran her last 600m in 39.6, should win on Saturday but has a stern rival in Herman Munster.  I Am Sam galloped well, running his last 600m in39.9, he is a good chance on Saturday.
