Track Update - 25/08
All In Tempo galloped very well running the last 600m on a heavy track in 44.7. Both him and I Am Sam will be very competitive on Saturday. The Wheeler pair Kylemore Abbey and Stravinaki cointinue to impress. They ran the fastest 600m on the sand in 36.5.
Track Update - 18/08
Glasshalffull worked strongly running his final 600m in 38.2, well overdue a win. Promising 3yos Kylemore Abbey and Stravinaki sprinted 600m in 36.4, they will be worth following in spring. Although not after time I Am Sam worked strongly and is a strong chance to be the 1st Taranaki winner of the Interprovincial come Saturday.

Walters Royale continues to impress with his work, strong each way chance on Saturday. The Sandy Dravitski pair Floor Play and Blakmandu left Monday for Riccarton, they travelled well and will be sound chances on Saturday.

Realism has been very dissapointing but worked better running 600m in 37.2, maybe worth giving one more chance on Sunday. Blakmandu worked very well running the last 600m in 38.3. Another win is close.

Busy week at the track as horses prepare for Premier Raceday Saturday. Ginella looked improved running the last 600m in 37s. With the claim from top apprentice Alvin Ng, she is a sound eachway bet. Forgive Free Escorts last start failure, he worked well this week and is a good chance in a tough field Saturday.

Trentham track specialist Blakmandu galloped very well running the last 600m in a tick under 40s. He will be hard to beat on Saturday. Gasnier whilst not running a fast last 600m worked very strongly. The last start hurdle winner is no forlorn chance on the flat at Trentham.

The Wheeler team were to the fore this morning. Riverton Cup winner Gasnier worked very well running the last 600m on the sand in 37.7, his hurdle debut on Saturday is eagerly awaited. The former top galloper Tedriffic has been out of form for awhile, however, his recent work has shown improvement. Maybe worth following in the next couple of starts.

Big local representation at meeting tomorrow. From the track sound bets include: Walter Royale (very forward for his start) and Gracie Rose (promising filly who will appreciate apprentice allowance tomorrow).

Brecon Heights worked very well running 600m on the sand in 38.1 in company with Heza Dooley. Brecon Heights with the benefit of the Rosie Myers Claim is a strong each way chance on Saturday. Heza Dooley is a first starter that should like the wet.

Hi Flo took time honours at the track this week running 600m in 39.2, she should hold her form. Torrado also looked good when running 600m in 40.9, he may be worth following at long odds.
Track Update - 27/05
Iam Sam worked super running the last 600m in 42, he could easily win two in a row. A tradionally half brother to Ballybit trained by Allan Sharrock worked well running 600m in just over 40s he is promising.

Polly Petite and Kovak worked very well running the last 600m in 40.7 on a heavy course proper. Although not timed High Season looks extremely fit for the Waikato hurdles on Saturday.
Track Update - 13/05
Busy morning at the track with local races on Saturday. Keyora looked bright when running 600m on the sand in 36.6 with Gusher. Keyora should be very hard to beat while Gusher is an outside chance if he regains the field. Exstreme is in top form and leaves for brisbane on Wednesday. Will be a great chance as long as the tracks have give in them.

The wheeler pair Rtesounding and Pincinna galloped effortlessly running the final 600m in 38.6. Both will be competitve in future starts. Jumpouts were held on Wednesday. One of the most impressive heats being taken out by an unnamed O'Reilly 2yo trained by Rob Patterson (last 600m in 36.3).

Faxed and Might an Paua worked well running their last 600m in 37.7. Both will be worth following in their next start. Juice, preparing for Te Aroha ran the last 600m in 37.4. Whilst some give in the track will be of benefit, she is working very well.
Track Update - 17/03
In an unusual move, Oaks Contender, La Marino worked twice within an hour, running the last 600m in 36.1 and 37.2 respectively. She has potential and is an outside chance in the Oaks. Harkuf continues to improve. He took a tad over 37s for his last 600m. He should strike form when the tracks get wetter.

No times were taken at track on Tuesday. Best from the track for Sunday at Waverley are probably Glaizem and Secret Magic. Both are good each way chances.
Track Update - 03/03
Derby Aspirants Volgus and Ballybit hit out well running home the last 600m in 37.2. Ballybit in particular is a good long shot chance. La Marina looks improved with her recent efforts when running 600m in a slick 36.1, she is a good chance at Hastings.
Track Update - 17/02
Pincinna, whilst a disappointing last start, worked very well running the last 600m in 37.2. Well worth another chance as is All Intempo although slower 38.3, is a strong chance on Saturday.
Track Update - 03/02
Extremely quiet morning at the track with most trainers at the yearling sales. Pincinna @ Wanganui appears one of the better bets from the track and it may pay to give Mr Composed another chance after a disappointing last start. Both horses appeared to work well with out being timed.

Belles Fast looks ready for the million dollar race on Sunday. She ran 600m in 36s flat. Biggles is a geniune light weight chance in the Wellington Cup. He worked strongly the last 600m in 37.9.
Track Update - 06/01
In a quiet morning at the track the promising gallopers Ballybit and Volgus worked well running the last 600m in 38.4. They could both start at Marton next week and both look smart after their short break.
