Trackwork at Pukekura Raceway

Course Proper. Markers Inside. Dead 

Kawi showed his is on track for the NRM at Waikato turning on an impressive track gallop this morning on the course proper was on the inside rail and provided dead footing. Kawi and Skoota Brown worked around to the 1000m mark increasing the tempo throughout the gallop, the last 600m in 34.45. Both full of running at the line. Skoota Brown may start fresh at Wellington.

Vincent looked keen in her work over 1000m, the last 600m in 36.10. Vincent holds a nomination for the Maiden 2yo 1000m at Wellington.

Stablemates, Effectav and Battle Kat, worked keenly over 1200m, covering the last 600m in 36.15. Both line up at Trentham on Saturday, with Effectav looking particularly well at present.

Woodbine Ladd and Brave Kat worked over 1000m, working home strongly from the 600 in 36.64. Both line up at Wellington with Woodbine Ladd, a fast finishing second at Wanganui, likely to appreciate the roomier Wellington track.

Jackson Road and Hoist showed their readiness for Wellington when galloping over 1000m, the last 600 in 36.50. Hoist, withdrawn from Woodville because of the wet track, has impressed in his work in recent weeks.

Last start winner, Lovethefeeling, was joined by Miss Bondi over 1000m, in easy work running the last 600m in 37.80. Lovethefeeling holds a nomination for the race meeting in Wellington on Saturday.

A Master craftsman gelding went a strong 1600 with the last 600 in 36.50. He continues to make progress for trainer Tony Corric.
