Kawi was the star turn on the course proper which was dead.

Kawi and Darci Mac paired over 1200m. Darci Mac lead off and was joined by Kawi at the 1200m. The pair galloped strongly throughout the last 600 in 37.40. The big bay is spot on for the Windsor Park Plate. Darci Mac has shown his liking of the Hastings track previously and improving track conditions will enhance his chances.

Madonna Mia showed her readiness when she worked over 1400, the last 600 in 38 even. This was strong work by the mare and a stop up to 2000 and better race track conditions will be in favour also.

I’m Poppy and Grey Invader worked together over 1000 and the last 600 in 39.64. I’m Poppy, jump out winner last Friday, is getting closer to racing trim.

Whispering and Victoria’s Legacy paired up over the 1000m the last 600 in 38.95. Whispering is coming to hand nicely and likely to reappear race day when the tracks firm up.
