Called Doubt worked solo over 1200m, the last 600m in 39.6. It was strong work by this New Plymouth specialist.

The Sharrock pairing of Art Deco and Ishinktaatledo were only slightly slower (39.65). They worked very well and will both be competitive in the next few weeks.

Mistress Porotene and Hard To Be Humble galloped an even 1000m, covering the last 600m in 41.1. Both are in sound form.

The Sharrock pairings of Mars Bar and Mihaul, and Landlord and Party Marty ran solid work, the last 600m in 40.2 and 41.9 respectively.

Burgundy Guy and A Good Deal worked earlier in the morning, the last 600m of their 10000m gallop in 40.8.

The Wheeler trained pairs of Vencedora and Cavalry and Irish Flame and Pentathlon ran an even 1200m galloping the last 600m in 42.4 and 41.9 respectively. Both Irish Flame and Pentathlon ran well at the Waverley trials and are coming to hand well.

On the sand Kawi, in company with Valencia ran a strong 1000m, the last 600m in a sharp 37.6. This was significantly quicker than any other gallop of the morning. Kawi looks extremely ready to resume in the Foxbridge Plate.

Wynthorpe and Malibu Miss worked separately over 1000m, the last 600m in 41.1 and 41.8 respectively.

The final gallop on the sand was the Marilyn Paewai pair of Rosewood and Batchelor Babe who strode home in 39.9. Rosewood goes to Te Rapa this Saturday and may back up on her home track in the ITM Interprovincial.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY next race day at Pukekura Raceway, ITM Interprovincial Challenge, Saturday 26th August.
