The recent jump out winner, Wynthorpe, ran an even 1000m, the last 600 in 40.2. Wynthorpe hasn’t lived up to his earlier promise but seems well at present.

The good mare, Effectav, was paired with the promising Hermanito over 1000m, running the last 600m in 39.6 seconds. Effectav may run at Hawera on Saturday if the track is not heavy.

The Sharrock duo of Whispering and Mars Bar ran 1000m, the last 600 in 39.9. Their work was mirrored by Turncoat and Mihaul who also worked strongly. The last 600m in 40.0.

From the Wheeler stables, Vencedora and Sublime Habit ran 1200m, the last 600m in 40.8. Sublime Habit is coming to hand well.

Lady Style worked evenly over 1000m the last 600m in 41.1. It was good work on her own.

The Hawera bound Rosewood was partnered by Mastercourtsman over 1000m, the last 600m in 40.9. Rosewood is an outside chance in the Rich Hill Stud Taranaki Breeders Stakes. She is adept if wet conditions.

The Janelle Millar pair, Time Bomb and Hard To Be Humble, ran a strong 1200m, the last 600 in 39.8. Time Bomb is due a win soon, whilst Hard To Be Humble is over a small niggle that saw him scratched a fortnight ago.

Also from the Millar stable, Light Em Up and Hezhightensile also worked attractively, the last 600m in 41.3.

The final two gallops of the morning were from the Wheeler stables, Macklemore and Cavalry (last 600m in 42.1), Lambada and Alamacferson (41.6). All worked well, Lambada and Alamacferson are nearly at race fitness and should start in the next 2-3 weeks.

Off the gallops on the sand, the fastest last 600m went to the speedy Fascino Lass (39.7). She is forward to resume in the next month.
