Time honours of the morning went to the Janelle Millar pair of Koko Belle and Tinkalicious who worked 1000m, the last 600m in 35 seconds even. It was strong work. Tinkalicious in particular shows promise.

Telegraph entrant, Kawi, was paired with Telluwhat, running 1000m, the last 600m in a sharp 35.3. Kawi is an extremely interesting runner this Saturday.

Irish Flame continued its preparation in readiness to return to the racetrack when paired with Quaff over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.5. Whilst a fraction disappointing last campaign, he has a real motor.

Jazamour was partnered by an unnamed Pins from the Ian Adams stables. They also went 1000 home the last 600 in 37.2. It was pleasing work.

Rob Patterson duo Smokin’ Hot and Fascino Lass worked solidly a 1000m, the last 600m in 36.1. Both are in sound form.

Marlo Bik and Fields Of Fire ran a quick last 600m, of 35.6 seconds from their 1000m gallop. Both has potential to win again soon.

Here We Go and Villa Lille were paired over 1000m, the 600 in 36.2. They looked to be travelling well.

The Bryce Revell pair of Coastal Drought and Secret Squirrel went after time over 1000m, the last 600 in 38.2 Secret Squirrel will win a maiden soon, especially if there’s some give in the ground.

Millar Racing stablemates Won’t Back Down and How’s That Girl ran an even 1000m, covering the last 600m in 37 seconds.

The final gallop was Battle Kat, who worked a solo 1000m, running the last 600m in 37.1.
