Trackwork at Pukekura Raceway

Course Proper. Track Slow 7. Rail Out 22m. 

With racing at Pukekura Raceway on Saturday, it was a fairly busy morning.

Star track workers were the Janelle Millar pair of Hard To Be Humble and Battle Kat. They were paired over 1000m, running the last 600m in 36.9 seconds. It was terrific work.

Woodville entrant, Ladies Style, galloped solo over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.9. She has been working well for a number of weeks.

Art Deco and Youlldome strode over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.4. Art Deco lines up on Saturday.

The Sharrock pair of Turncoat and London’s Express worked evenly over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.6.

The Taranaki Racing syndicate horse, Effectav, looked improved after her first up run at Awapuni when partnered by Time Bomb over an even 1200m. They covered the last 600m in a quick 37.1. Effectav is a strong chance on her local track at Saturday’s meeting.

Rosewood was another who has improved with its first up run judging by the work with Batchelor Babe. Although taking 38.0 for the last 600m it was sound work. Rosewood looks in for a good winter.

Hi Yo Mango was partnered by Whosdaboss over 1000m, the last 600 in 38.8. Hi Yo Mango is entered for Woodville Thursday, as is Master Courtsman who worked evenly with Royal Empress, the last 600 in 38.9.

The Bryce Revell trained Duellicious wasn’t after time with running a solid 1200, the last 600 in 39.0. Another who may start on Contractors and Suppliers Day on Saturday.

From the Caskey stable a Road To Rock and Kallipe ran 1000m, sprinting the last 600m in 37.5. The Road To Rock looks to have ability.

The final gallop of the day saw Mistress Porotene partnered by Hezhightensile over 1000m, covering the last 600m in 38.6.
