Course Proper. Track Good. Markers 14m. 

Time honours of the morning went to the Alan Sharrock pair of Valencia and Field Of Fire who ran 1000m, the last 600m in 35.8. Field Of Fire, in particular, worked very well.

Egmont Cup aspirant, Ladies First, worked strongly over 1600m in company with Art Deco, home the last 600 in 36.3. Ladies First is looking to get her Melbourne Cup campaign back on track this Saturday.

The Janelle Millar pair, Koko Belle and Tinkalicious, worked attractively over 1000m, the last 600m in 36.2. Tinkalicious didn’t have much luck last start.

Pentathlon, who is also Egmont Cup bound, worked with Kirkenes over 1400m, the last 600 in solid fashion 36.9. Pentathlon also holds a Melbourne Cup nomination.

Two youngsters in the Millar barn worked 1000m, sprinting sharply, the last 600 in 36.2. They are by Super Easy and Ocean Park and showed real dash.

Call Doubt looks improved by recent racing, running 1200m, the last 600 in 36.7.

The same could be said for Wynthorpe who ran 1000m, the last 600 in 37.2.

Vencedora and Adequacy ran 1000, the last 600 in 37.1. Vencedora is coming to hand well.

The Rob Patterson team was also out in strength all running 1000m. Vincent, unlucky at New Plymouth last start, and Aridity home in 37.4.

Our Milo and Dezella slightly quicker 36.5. Our Milo has disappointed but is better than a maiden.

The good winter galloper, Rosewood, was partnered by stablemate, Batchelor Babe, running an even 1000m, the last 600m in 37.5. They are in great form.

Quaff was partnered by Remarx over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.2. It was sound work.

Royal Empress in her first gallop after a brief let-up ran 1000m, the last 600 in 36.5. She worked alongside Red Forest who held its own in the gallop.

The Bryce Revell trained Ekstrememiss and Duellicious both worked solo over 1000m, with last 600m in 39.9 and 37.2 respectively. Ekstrememiss will come into her own over more ground.
