Trackwork

Trackwork at Pukekura Raceway
Tuesday 4th December 2018
Course Proper. Track Slow. Markers 15m

With showery conditions, the track soon deteriorated into the Slow range.

The Rob Patterson pair of Vincent and Aridity worked a strong 1000m, the last 600m in 37.7. This in-form duo go next to Trentham.

From the Sharrock barn Kings Vee and Lady Style also worked well over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.2. Lady Style won well last start and should carry on with it.

The promising 3yo’s Monkey Shoulder and Schist worked together over 1000m, the last 600 in 38.9. Monkey Shoulder is very short in the future market for the Derby in March, but does show much potential.

Wynthorpe and Field Of Fire galloped solo over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.9 and 37.1 respectively. Wynthorpe would appreciate the cut out of the track.

Showmethebubbles and Seductress were paired over 1000m, the last 600m in 38.5 seconds. They both start at the local meeting at Pukekura Raceway on Thursday.

Whilst Hoist and Valentia did similar work, home in 38.1.

The unlucky Keltic Rockstar worked solo over an even 1000m, the last 600 in 38.3. Will win a maiden at short notice.

Last start winner, Herewego galloped a solid 1000m, the last 600m in 38.9. Unlucky first start he made amends next-up, and should go on with the good form.

Red Forrest, who appeared to relish the conditions, wasn’t after time over 1000m, the last 600 in 39.1. Not without a chance on a wet track pre-Christmas.

The final 1000m gallops were all solo on the and with the last 600m in Lady Rupert 39.2, Smokin’ Hot 39.3, Hi In Nikita 41.8. Lady Rupert will win a maiden at short notice.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY next race day at Pukekura Raceway, Christmas At The Races in association with Smokeylemon, Thursday 6th December.
