Course Proper Slow. Markers Inside 

Empire Lass and Elle’s Empress in preparation for the local meeting on Saturday worked over the 1000m with the last 600m in 38.86. This was good work by the pair.

Madonna Mia and Gypsy Fair worked over 1000m in strong fashion, the last 600m in a quick 36.46. Gypsy Fair has thrived since his winning run at Otaki and will be hard to beat in the Open 1300 on Saturday. Madonna Mia, also entered, will benefit from the run.

The Graduate and Anystreamwilldo went a full round at speed with the last 600m in 40.17. The Graduate tackles the 2000m on Saturday, with Anystreamwilldo entered at Wanganui on Sunday.

Bishopbriggs and Darci Mac had the pace on from the 1000m, the last 600m in 37.70. Both horses continue to thrive in their work and will next race on the first day at Hawkes Bay.

New York Minute R75, and Brave Kat R75 2000, impressed in their work over the 1000m. the last 600m in 37.70. New York Minute looks particularly well at present, and will be likely favourite Saturday.

Art Deco and Valentia worked over 1000m, with the last 600 in 38.40. Art Deco races at New Plymouth and Valentia at Wanganui on Sunday.

Pentathlon from the 1400, and Awesome Goal joined up at the 1000m, coming home the last 600m in 39.15. Pentathlon returns to racing at Hawkes Bay Saturday week.

King Nero, Open 1300 Saturday, and Madam Defarage worked over 1000m, the last 600m in 38.24.

The Janelle Millar trained trio of Time Bomb, Hard To Be Humble, and Miss Bondi worked together over 1000m, covering the last 600m in 39.15. All will race at Pukekura Raceway on Saturday.
